What if I've already taken other training courses?
Not all training is equal. We’ll evaluate on a case-by-case basis, but we love Newborn Care Solutions Institute and highly recommend their online training program.
The Newborn Care Solutions Institute offers a variety of courses to suit your unique needs as a professional. Their newborn infant care classes are offered both live and online, allowing you to learn at your comfort level and pace. Each program offers a certificate of completion upon successfully passing the exam.
Can I get a position and complete the courses afterward?
Although a course isn’t required for placement, it is strongly preferred and will set your application apart. Newborn Care Specialists with this training are over 200% more likely to get placed in top jobs than those without this training. Parents are looking to hire caregivers who are experienced and have the latest knowledge and training to back it up.
If I already have years of experience do I still need the foundations course?
Nothing beats experience, and the fact that you have years of it is outstanding. But, best practices change over time as a result of research (for example, better ways to administer CPR to children have been discovered and studies show that crib bumpers aren’t actually safe), and you don’t want to be basing your care on outdated information. It’s important that, along with your experience, you continue to be educated in the latest methods. Parents are trusting you to have the most up-to-date knowledge.
Your best asset is you.
Experience and high-level training make you an expert worthy of trust.
